LETS GIVE HAYDEN A CHANCE!

May 29, 2009

Unless you have been in a coma for the past few weeks, you wouldn’t know that these past few days the public has made an extreme show of controversial Doctor Hayden Kho, a.k.a. ‘manyak ng taon 2009′.

From every corner of Showbiz to the branches of Politics, icons and figures has appeared out of the blue, each one representing the advocacy of integrity and honesty and justice, with full guns blaring crucifying the maniac doctor.

Of course, these accusations are not without basis, for indeed facts have been presented and even the defendant himself has admitted to his sins of being a certified pervert.  He has admitted creating sex videos of himself doing sexual acts with different women of caliber as a ongoing fetish.

The facts have been given; YES…he is a pervert. YES…there is something psychologically wrong with him, YES…he made sex videos of unwitting victims who made the error of climbing onto his bed.

But the term unwitting defined by any dictionary is not knowing; unaware; ignorant; oblivious.  And I have never seen the women partaking in the sexual acts of Dr. Hayden Kho as defined by these words.  These women were not drugged, hypnotized or drunk to the point of stupor.  These women consciously climbed into the Doctor’s bed and participated in the debacle.  They were of course unwitting when it came to the event that they were being videotaped as they “oohed” and “aahed”.  But they were definitely conscious of the act of sex itself.

Being conscious of the act itself does not mean that what Hayden did can be justified.  Let’s get one thing straight, what he did was undeniably WRONG, but you also have to consider, how can there be a sex video when no sex is actually involved?  Would a self-respecting woman climb into the bed of a man with a known girlfriend?  If it was the current girlfriend crying foul play, that would have been more sensible and viable.

And speaking of foul…we know that Hayden had no intention to post these sex videos on the World Wide Web — He did not intend or plan any ‘foul play’.  We all know that he was not the one who aired the content on the net, but it was another person who did the deed. We should consider that these shows are the Doctors’ perverted little hobby.  And all humans have their own secret perverse sins…things we just keep to ourselves (those hypocrites who deny this can go to hell).  Too bad that Hayden’s secret sin was revealed to the world.

And the world is truly passing judgement.  Every single day when you watch Kapuso, Kapamilya, or any other news show, you will see another artista, or politician bad mouthing Hayden.  You will hear grandiose holier than thou speeches that talks about integrity, honor, and Hayden being a bad boy who deserves to be condemned to hell.  Everyone has become an advocate of purity and good morals…amazing.

It is a common saying that whoever has no sin should cast the first stone — I believe that this is true.  But so many individuals out there are labeling Hayden as the lowest scum of the earth.  If Hayden had been a notorious criminal, this would be acceptable, but consider this: He was a man who did not rape or kill anybody, a man whose profession helps the general public, a man who did not embezzle large amounts from the government.

Lets be honest, in our country, crimes, perversity and whatnot are a common scene in our political and showbiz industry.  I think rather than ask the question as to what punishment best fits Hayden, isn’t it better to ask, why are there so much people stepping up to be involved to sling the stone.

I’m not an advocate of perversity or sex videos, and I’m not even a fan of Hayden (di kami close) but come on.  The man has already admitted to his wrongdoing…he has already been embarrassed and condemned, and he has already made a choice to stop his profession…what more do we want?  I wrote this Blog simply to air out my opinion na dapat tantanan na natin si Hayden…ok na…durug na cya…tama na.

Are we are planning to permanently raise the justice system of the Philippines?  Are we now a country filled with people who despise perversity and wrongdoing?   I do hope that the next time someone steals from the government, the same level of commotion be seen….but i doubt that.

Is this really justice?  Because it sure seems like something else…
